VOICES OF WOMEN IN FILM is celebrated in cinemas this year. Ten selected European films and their outstanding women directors will be presented at the 68th Sydney Film Festival from 3 – 14 November 2021.

27.05.20 In its fifth year of cooperation between European Film Promotion (EFP) and Sydney Film Festival (SFF), the programme of EUROPE! VOICES OF WOMEN IN FILM has been given a special focus at this year's reduced digital festival edition. Ten selected European films and their outstanding women directors will be presented alongside otherwise exclusively Australian works at the 67th Sydney Film Festival: Virtual Edition and Awards from 10 to 21 June, 2020.

All of them are award-winning directors, most of them relying on their own scripts to tell their stories.
Making waves down under

24.05.16 European Film Promotion has launched a new initiative. For the first time, EFP, the Sydney Film Festival and Variety have joined forces to initiate European Cinema: 10 Women Filmmakers to Watch presenting ten exceptional European women storytellers. All films come fresh from their premieres at A-list festivals around the globe, some of them having been in competition and won awards.
