we spy success – efp supports world premiere of debut film at tribeca

EFP has allocated €5,500 through its Film Sales Support (FSS) programme to support European films at the Tribeca Film Festival (3–14 June 2026). The initiative enables world sales companies to strengthen their promotional strategies and boost the commercial visibility of European cinema in non-European markets.

The Tribeca Film Festival is presenting the world premiere of I Spy With My Little Eye by Alisa Kolosova (Germany) in its prestigious International Narrative Competition section.

This stunning debut about female friendship is based on a true story and tells about loss, responsibility, and the fragile strength it takes for two women to hold on to each other, and to a child, against all odds. The FSS support includes the FSS Top Up Grant, which provides sales companies with further financial support and encourages them to invest more in the promotion of films depicting gender balance, equity, and inclusion. With the exception of the two male producers, all head-of-department positions and key roles are held by women who significantly shaped the creative vision of the project.

The world sales company Epsilon Film will promote the film on-site in close cooperation with a renowned New York-based PR agency, while simultaneously arranging in-person meetings and screenings.

The FSS application was confirmed by German Films.

Updated Guide of European World Sales Companies

EFP is also pleased to announce the updated version of its online Sales Guide, which features almost 90 active European world sales companies representing and selling films from across Europe and around the world.

The Online Guide now includes additional categories for TV and series, reflecting the ongoing shift towards broader portfolios among world sales companies as they navigate increasingly complex markets. As part of the update, the list of world sales companies has been fully re-evaluated and features the most relevant and active European companies.

As a searchable database, the Guide provides individual company profiles as well as key contacts, offering buyers and programmers a useful working tool and helping producers and filmmakers make the right choices for their films.

The listed companies are associated with EFP through Film Sales Support (FSS), which supports the promotion of European films at international film festivals and markets.

Film Sales Support (FSS) and the publication of the Sales Guide are supported by Creative Europe MEDIA.

FSS also receives contributions from the Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the ICAA – Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales, Spain.
