European Film Promotion (EFP) is delighted to announce that ten former Producers on the Move will come toether at this year’s FILMFEST HAMBURG. In partnership with the festival and supported by the MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, the producers will take part in a dedicated two-day programme and at the newly expanded FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS — including the Explorer Konferenz and the International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS) — and connect with their local colleagues to explore new opportunities for international collaboration.
The following alumni will attend: Kathi Posch (Geyrhalter Film, Austria), Magdalena Ilieva (Little Wing Productions, Bulgaria), Siniša Juričić (Nukleus Film, Croatia), Emanuele Nespeca (Solaria Film, Italy), Katarzyna Ozga (Iris Productions, Luxembourg), Marija Dimitrova (List Production, North Macedonia), Åshild Ramborg (Storm Films, Norway), Wanda Adamík Hrycová (Wandal Production, Slovak Republic), Eva Åkergren (Nordisk Film Production, Sweden) and Isabelle Stead (Rise & Shine, United Kingdom).
For Kathi Posch, Katarzyna Ozga, Åshild Ramborg, and Wanda Adamík Hrycová, participants of the 2024 edition of PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE, Hamburg provides a welcome opportunity to reunite in person. Bulgarian producer Magdalena Ilieva will also reconnect with fellow 2025 participant, Fred Burle (Germany), who is attending the festival as co-producer of The Secret Agent by Kleber Mendonça Filho. Italian producer Emanuele Nespeca is also returning to Hamburg not only as a PoM alumnus but as producer of Forever with You by Fabrizio Cattani, screening at the MICHEL Children and Youth Film Festival. A special reunion is set to take place between Åshild Ramborg and Fabian Massah, both participants in the 2018 PoM edition. Berlin-based producer Fabian Massah is the new Head of the expanded FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS.
The programme in Hamburg includes meetings with these ten producers from Northern Germany: Raoul Reinert (Cuckoo Clock Entertainment), Dirk Manthey (Dirk Manthey Film), Frank Müller (Doppelplusultra Filmproduktion), Mina Avramova (Fortune Cookie Film), Dennis Stormer (Intuition Club), Polli Elsner (Letterbox Filmproduktion), Bernd von Fehrn (Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion), Dirk Decker (Tamtam Film), Jennifer Mueller von der Haegen (Weydemann Bros) and Eva Fouquet (beetz brothers film production). The session focusses on facilitating new collaborations and long-term working relationships. During a roundtable session, the visiting producers will present their companies, current projects and co-production needs, also sharing what they can offer as minority partners on international projects. The introductory meeting is followed by 1-on-1 speed meetings.
The PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE event in Hamburg is made possible with financial support from MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, and in partnership with FILMFEST HAMBURG.
