meet and mingle at the croisette

After three days of successful online events, European Film Promotion (EFP) heartily welcomes the 20 emerging European producers and this year’s guest producer from the Ukraine of the 26th edition of PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE at the Cannes Film Festival.

In addition to 1:1 meetings and round tables on funding opportunities and project financing, the 20 participants will meet representatives from the streaming platforms MUBI and Netflix and network with delegates from Eurimages and ARTE. In a further session, casting director and CSA president Cassandra Han is providing insights into casting practices and sharing her experiences as a casting director in the US and Europe. She will explain why casting has become a crucial part of the production process. Question such as, why the active involvement of a casting director during the script writing process could be relevant for the financing of a film, will be addressed by her.

An afternoon Alumni Cocktail on 19 May will wrap up the onsite programme, involving the network of all participants in the programme since its inception in 2000. For more information, please contact producers@efp-online.com.
