Hamburg-based European Film Promotion is pleased to announce that 14 former Producers on the Move will be attending this year's FILMFEST HAMBURG. In cooperation with the festival, MOIN Film Fund and the Explorer Konferenz, they will not only take part in the FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS kick-off event, but will also meet their colleagues from North Germany, for networking and possible cooperations.

For some producers it is a reunion, such as for German producer Verena Gräfe-Höft (Junafilm) and Gints Grūbe (Mistrus Media) from Latvia: they met in 2017 during the PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE programme and are currently working on their joint project, The Bog, directed by Reinis Kalviņš. The crime drama is a co-production involving three countries — Latvia (Mistrus Media), Germany (Juna Film), and Estonia (Meteoriit).

In addition to the 16 Producers on the Move, two participants of the FUTURE FRAMES programme, Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel from Norway and Eileen Byrne from Luxembourg will be presenting their debut feature films, Armand and Marianengraben, at FILMFEST HAMBURG.

The following former Producers on the Move are expected in Hamburg:

Gentian Koci (Artlab Film) from Albania, Adis Djapo (SCCA/pro.ba) from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Mikuláš Novotný (Background Films) from the Czech Republic, Kim Magnusson (M&M Productions) from Denmark, Anneli Ahven (Kopli Kinokompanii) from Estonia, Alexander Wadouh (Chromosom Film), Eva Blondiau (Color of May), Verena Gräfe-Höft (Junafilm) and Fabian Driehorst (fabian&fred) from Germany, Sára László (Campfilm) from Hungary, Marina Hughes (Venus Film & TV Productions) from Ireland, Alessandro Borrelli (La Sarraz Pictures) from Italy, Gints Grūbe (Mistrus Media) from Latvia and Ales Pavlin (PERFO) from Slovenia.

The PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE event in Hamburg is financially supported by MOIN Film Fund Hamburg-Schleswig-Holstein.
