european shooting stars 2025: the red carpet is theirs

The European Shooting Stars of 2025 were welcomed on the Berlinale Palast stage by French actress Ludivine Sagnier.

The Awards Ceremony, hosted by CUPRA, is the festive highlight and closing event of an intensive 4-day Shooting Star programme where the talented young actresses and actors meet international casting directors and are presented to the international press. German actress Thelma Buabeng will take the Berlinale Palast audience through the awards.

EFP (European Film Promotion) and its partners are delighted to host the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS programme at the 28th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. Tonight's ceremony was held in the presence of Festival Director Tricia Tuttle as well as Claudia Roth, Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

The ten selected European Shooting Stars for 2025 are: Marina Makris (Cyprus), Besir Zeciri (Denmark), Maarja Johanna Mägi (Estonia), Devrim Lingnau (Germany), Elín Hall (Iceland), Kārlis Arnolds Avots (Latvia), Šarūnas Zenkevičius (Lithuania), Lidija Kordić (Montenegro), Vicente Wallenstein (Portugal) and Frida Gustavsson (Sweden).
