EFP (European Film Promotion) and its member organisations are delighted to announce that 47 participants of EFP’s talent platforms EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS and PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE (PoM) will be presenting a total of 33 films in the official selections of the Berlin International Film Festival.
The Competition films Rimini by Ulrich Seidl and One Year, One Night (Un año, una noche) by Isaki Lacuesta feature former European Shooting Stars Georg Friedrich (Austria, 2004) and Natalia de Molina (Spain, 2015), respectively. Swiss Shooting Star Michael Koch (2004) has directed his second feature-lenght film and will celebrate the world premiere of A Piece of Sky (Drii Winter) at the festival. The film was produced by Christof Neracher (PoM Switzerland, 2006). Nicolette Krebitz's Competition entry A E I O U - A Quick Alphabet of Love (A E I O U - Das schnelle Alphabet der Liebe) was produced by Janine Jackowsky (PoM Germany, 2009) and Jean-Christophe Reymond (PoM France, 2021). Meggie Peren's The Forger (Der Passfälscher; Berlinale Special Gala) brings together Shooting Stars Louis Hofman (Germany, 2017), Luna Wedler (Switzerland, 2018) and Luc Feit (Luxembourg, 2002) as well as producer Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu (PoM Austria, 2003). Two Icelandic Shooting Stars are united in the film Against the Ice by Peter Flinth (Berlinale Special Gala): Gisli Örn Gardarsson (2007) in front of the camera and Baltasar Kormakur (2001) as producer.
