building on creative europe media’s success for europe’s audiovisual and creative future

European organisations and networks from the film and audiovisual sector have come together to express their strong support for the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme and its continued role within the new AgoraEU framework.

For more than three decades, Creative Europe MEDIA has proven to be a uniquely effective European instrument with a dual impact: it strengthens the audiovisual sector both economically and culturally.
It has enabled companies of all sizes, from small and medium-sized enterprises to larger industry players, to collaborate, innovate, and grow across borders.

At the same time, Creative Europe MEDIA has supported creative talents from every corner of Europe and offered opportunities for meaningful exchange across the entire value chain - from directors, writers and independent producers to sales agents, distributors, promotion agencies, festivals, cinemas, tech companies and audience initiatives - fostering a truly diverse and dynamic audiovisual landscape throughout Europe.

By supporting collaboration and the circulation of works, it ensures that stories from all European countries can be seen and heard across by every European citizen.
Crucially, this impact extends far beyond the industry itself: audiences across all member states benefit from access to a wide range of high-quality works that reflects the many voices and identities of Europe.
As the AgoraEU programme takes shape, we look forward to a continued strong commitment to Creative Europe MEDIA, building on its achievements and further strengthening Europe’s cultural and creative ecosystem for the future.
