The Unifrance y EFP Mercado is returning with its fifth edition this year, taking place online 11-12 March. The Mercado is a joint event crafted by Unifrance and EFP since 2020, where 20 selected world sales companies from Europe have the golden opportunity to meet buyers from Latin America in a reserved environment.
The annual networking event in spring between sellers and buyers from the Latin American territory looks back on two versions taking place on site during the Miami Film Festival and three online ones between 2020 and 2023.
Once again, the freshest hand-picked titles from all over Europe available for Latin America, will be pitched by 21 sales agents to 17 buyers in dedicated one-on-one speed meetings on two consecutive days straight after the Berlinale’s European Film Market. To kick-start the boutique market, buyers will have the chance to view promo reels of the films before they dive into individual meetings.
French world sales companies Charades, Memento International, Les Films du Losange, The Bureau Sales, Urban Sales, Kinology, The Party Film Sales, Pulsar Content and Indie Sales are presenting the most recent films from France. They will be joined by two Danish sales companies, LevelK and TrustNordisk who will be pitching films from Norway as well as a coproduction between Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway, the German companies Pluto Film and Films Boutique with films from Luxembourg/Belgium and France, Italian sales agents Fandango Pictures and Minerva Pictures International promoting films from Italy, Heretic from Greece pitching a Greek-Swiss coproduction, Spanish sales outfits Filmax and Latido Films representing two co-productions with Spain as well as New Europe Film Sales from Poland with a Danish-Icelandic co-production.
The Unifrance y EFP Mercado is a collaboration between Unifrance and EFP. It is supported by Creative Europe Media, the French Republic, the CNC, and the PROCIREP.
