EFP (European Film Promotion) and its member organisations are delighted to announce that 50 participants of EFP’s talent platforms, EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS and PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE (PoM) are presenting 29 films in various sections of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.
Norwegian Shooting Star of 2006, Ane Dahl Torp, appears twice, in the competition entry Dreams by Dag Johan Haugerud, produced by Yngve Sæther (PoM 2009, Norway) and in Emilie Blichfeldt‘s feature film debut The Ugly Stepsister, produced by Maria Ekerhovd (PoM 2011, Norway) co-produced by Mariusz Wlodarski (PoM 2015, Poland), Lizette Jonjic (PoM 2010, Sweden), Ada Solomon (PoM 2011, Romania), exec. produced by Jesper Morthorst (PoM 2011, Denmark), screening in Panorama. Likewise, Danish Shooting Star of 2007, David Dencik, performs in two films of this section. He stars in Beginnings by Jeanette Nordahl, produced by Eva Jacobsen (PoM 2014, Denmark), co-produced by Nima Yousefi (PoM 2021, Sweden) as well as in Other People’s Money by Jan Schomburg, Dustin Loose and Kaspar Munk. The German French co-production Cicadas by Ina Weisse (Panorama) brings together the German Shooting Stars of 2000 and 2013, Nina Hoss and Saskia Rosendahl.
Two productions are genuine ‘reunions’ of nine Producers on the Move: three Slovenians of 2006, 2015 and 2020, Jožko Rutar, Miha Černec and Marina Gumzi, together with Dragana Jovović, 2024 from Serbia, have teamed up with, Marko Mandić, Slovenian Shooting Star 2007, for Urška Djukić's debut film, Little Trouble Girls (Perspectives). Ankica Jurić Tilić (PoM 2009 from Croatia), Ieva Norvilienė (PoM 2006 from Lithuania), Aleš Pavlin (PoM 2012 from Slovenia), Marija Dimitrova (PoM 2022 from North Macedonia) and Milan Stojanović (PoM 2016 from Serbia) realised the Genration 14+ entry Sandbag Dam by Čejen Černić Čanak.
